Sales of new single family homes rose 6.9% from this same time last year, making it the highest rate of sales since July 2007.
There has also been a shift from condos to houses, especially houses in the suburbs, and a focus on new houses, likely resulting from the difficulties of viewing and purchasing existing houses during the pandemic.
