There is speculation that discussions over a new coronavirus stimulus package could start as early as next week.
Although the House passed the HEROES Act over a month ago, which included funds for a new round of stimulus checks, the Senate never passed it.
Now the Senate seems to be getting closer to starting on legislation of their own, of which the President has said would include stimulus checks.
Here’s what the timetable could look like:
Summer recess for Congress begins August 7th, so it is suggested that a new bill could be approved late July or early August before they go on recess.
The bill would be signed immediately by the President. Within a couple of weeks, we could see checks begin being distributed. By mid-September all eligible Americans would have their stimulus money.
