While we are all starting our second full week of remote working, many experts are predicting that even after the pandemic has passed, things will likely stay the same – and workers are happy about it. 

The coronavirus has caused many companies to dive headfirst into the digital age, something that a segment of the business world was attempting to avoid for as long as possible. 

A “silver lining” of the coronavirus crisis is that it has forced companies to “think creatively and innovatively” to stay in business, said Michelline Dufort, director of the Center for Family Enterprise at the University of New Hampshire. 

“Companies will likely continue remote working policies for employees even after the pandemic subsides after realizing the benefits of giving employees flexible hours and the financial gains of not needing as much office space and all the operational costs associated with running a physical office, Kim said.”
